Who isn't a fan of CID? The show has touched the hearts of the audience. It began in 1998 and gave us all some amazing characters and stories. It was also fun to watch the team solve some really tough cases, and people also learnt to be alert. This show has given us all countless memories and when it went off-air in 2018, everyone was hurt. People never wanted the show to end. Shivaji Satam, Dayanand Shetty, Aditya Srivastava, Narendra Gupta, and others have won hearts with their performances. Hence, the audience kept requesting the makers through social media to bring back the serial.
Hence, the makers returned with CID 2 in 2024. The second season has got all the love again and people are enjoying the return of their favourite characters. However, there have been many twists and turns in the second season. We saw Shivaji Satam aka ACP Pradyuman's death and hence, a new ACP entered. Parth Samthaan joined the show as ACP Ayushmaan.
He got mixed response from the audience earlier as people were not ready to accept ACP Pradyuman's exit. But soon, Parth won hearts with his performance. Now, ACP Pradyuman has returned and Ayushmaan's duty to find out the 'gaddar' is also over. Hence, we saw Ayushmaan leaving the CID team.

With this, Parth's role as Ayushmaan ended in the show. The team of CID had organised a farewell for him on the sets with a customised CID theme cake. Parth has now shared the videos from his farewell and a few of his BTS videos with Shivaji Satam and others.
Sharing these memories, he wrote, "And that's it from ACP Ayushman, from being trolled by people to making them love this ACP was a beautiful journey of learnings ,laughter and sweet memories will always cherish the bond I shared with the entire CID Team (cast & crew) .. so much of love and respect for one another , no wonder it became the longest running and the most iconic show A big Thankyou to all the creatives, @sonytvofficial for making me a part of your family Until next time ." After his exit, we also saw Janvi Chheda re-entering as Inspector Shreya. It was also revealed that Dr Salunkhe was the 'gaddar' in the team and he was sent to the jail. Narendra Gupta who played the role of Salunkhe left the show. Post this, we will see Shraddha Musale aka Dr Tarika returning.
