BTS leader RM gives long-awaited update on 2026 comeback, and ARMY can’t keep calm

BTS leader RM celebrated his 31st birthday on September 12. He connected with his fans via Weverse live on his special day, talking about his early birthday celebration and the gift given by Jin. He also sent his ARMY into a frenzy with a deep dive on the topic of BTS's comeback album, giving out details of the ongoing pressure and several other candid topics.

BTS members under immense pressure?

RM talked about the pressure of being a BTS member and said, "Ahhhh, it's so burdensome!! I mean, imagine you're BTS! You're BTS, but you just discharged from the military, it took 3 years, you're suddenly back, and everyone's like Wow, they're gonna come up with something insane, aren't they? It's pressuring us too! And we got together and lived together for 2 years- I mean, 2 months, but we're all the same, we're the same as we were!". He further adds on the live, " I'm not sure what and how this is gonna turn out, and each and every one of you might either like or dislike it, like I don't know cause I can't do anything about it But, we'll continue to keep going with the belief that we do have something"

He continued in his post, "The one thing that still didn't change, that I still believe. #BTS has something different.. I can't say it's better, but there is something different when it comes to a team called #BTS.. I think that's what made us US, and that's what made armys - ARMYs, at the same time."

New BTS in 2026?

RM also talked about the comeback album. He said, "Guys, are you guys really ready for the new BTS album? I think I'm not ready.. I think I'm still tripping.."

Sharing the update, the singer added, "We still are recording stuff and I'm arranging the lyrics we set up like a whole new process for the new album, new concepts like... this is NEW #BTS after military service in 2026," RM said about the comeback album. He added, "Next year is gonna be really BIG in terms of many things. I hope you guys are still healthy until we can visit your countries. It's been 6 years since we were on tour, is crazy."

BTS's inner voice

The rapper added that the K-pop band BTS was trying to present something that was their inner voice and close to their heart, and he told the fans to be patient.
